- Mercury is the second most toxic element known to man. Although there's no consensus in the scientific community that silver-mercury fillings pose a significant health risk, why risk it if you don't have to? a bonded tooth-colored restoration not only strengthens your tooth and beautifies your smile -- perhaps more importantly, it contains NO MERCURY!
